This fish is highly suitable for ponds and lakes with poor living conditions.

It reproduces naturally once suitable conditions are provided, so there is no need to restock with juveniles later.

Does not suffocate even when the water body freezes over, extremely hardy in harsh conditions

tolerant of low oxygen levels, requires minimal care, no need for aerators. Can grow even in small water bodies.

Average adult size 4-5 pounds – therefore it will NOT eat or swallow your other valuable larger fish (physically impossible).

Does NOT muddy the water – on the contrary, it actively hunts and helps control unwanted small fish such as

small crucian carp, rudd, pumpkinseed sunfish, and other species that stir up sediment and muddy the water.

The more small forage fish there are → the faster these largemouth bass grow.

Very active and fast swimmers, bite reliably, easy to catch and to control their population.

Interesting trait: when you walk around the pond along the shore, they sometimes follow you and watch you.

Excellent choice for those whose ponds are overrun with low-value small fish (crucian carp, bleak, rudd, etc.)

or for those who want a fast-growing predator.

advantages:

1. Very big plus – these largemouth bass do not grow too large (usually up to 4  pounds )

therefore they cannot eat your other large valuable fish:

common carp, bighead carp, grass carp, sturgeon, tench, pike-perch, burbot, catfish, etc.

Perfect for adding diversity and maintaining natural balance between large and small fish.

Common mistake: People wanting to quickly get rid of small fish introduce pike → pike then eliminate both small and large fish.

Later it is very difficult to remove the pike, and often the only solution is to drain the entire pond – very expensive and complicated.

2. Feeds on a wide variety of food: frog tadpoles, frogs, small snails, worms, leeches, dragonfly larvae, small crucian carp, etc.

Also eats commercial fish feed you give to other species (e.g. sturgeon or trout pellets) – this significantly increases their growth rate.

3. Very few bones, belongs to the premium trout-family lineage. Extremely tasty (especially smoked), valuable light-colored flesh

lean, high in protein and other valuable nutrients.

4. Naturally reproduces – releasing just 12–15–20 juveniles is enough; after 2–3 years you will have new young fish.

Important: the pond should have pond plants, submerged wood, roots or other cover where they can spawn safely.

5. Coexists very well with other fish: carp, bighead carp, grass carp, tench, sturgeon, etc.

No need to worry that they will eat your larger fish – they physically cannot swallow them.

6. Can be kept even in an artificial garden/outdoor pond. No water filter or aerator required.

7. Special trait: parent fish (female and male) guard their newly hatched fry for the first few weeks against other predators.

Very often you can observe the whole family swimming together in a group – this is their natural protection strategy.

How and where to buy?

Delivery / personal pickup – arranged individually depending on location.

For more distant cities we send via express bus parcels or other fast courier services.

We additionally oxygenate the water in transport containers – we guarantee all fish arrive alive. We take full responsibility.

Is additional feeding necessary after stocking?

At first, natural food and small fish already present in the pond are completely sufficient.

For maximum growth rate you can feed them with trout pellets (the same ones you use for other fish).

These largemouth bass are not picky eaters at all – that's exactly why they are so convenient and low-maintenance.

Recommendation: Don’t overdo pond cleaning – there is no need to remove all your plants (for example by stocking too many grass carp).

The best solution is to have reeds! along the banks – they create in your pond natural cover and protection from pound outside inside predators.
